Hygiene Higher Apprentice - Job Ref: Hygiene Higher Apprentice

Bakkavor is the world's leading fresh food manufacturer and as a hygiene specialist, you will provide specialist hygiene services in all our operational areas. 

What will the apprentice be doing?

You will become a subject matter expert, providing information, leadership, and support for hygiene activities, including managing health and safety hazards, and having an appreciation of environmental risks.

You will liaise with colleagues, as well as heads of functions internally, enforcement bodies, external contractors and suppliers, auditors, and customers at all levels within the organisation. You will ensure that hygiene standards are achieved to meet organisational, industry and legislative requirements. You will contribute to hygiene standards across the business and will train, coach, and assess others to ensure safe systems of work are in place. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You can expect to attain the Level 4 Hygiene Specialist apprenticeship standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

At the end of your programme, if you have successfully completed your apprenticeship and achieved the performance targets the we have set for you, you are guaranteed a permanent role with us.

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and maths + three others (Grade 9 – 5 or A*- C) essential

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm

Total hours per week: 37.5
