What will the apprentice be doing?
You will have a real job from day one and make a genuine contribution to the businesses. Typical weekly tasks will consist of:
Assisting and/or managing the investigation of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and other incidents as directed.
Research Safety, Health and Environmental Issues and best practices and review updates of health and safety regulations.
Prepare and maintain records relating to safety, health and environmental matters that comply with legal and workplace requirements, such as Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulations, Noise at Work Regulations, Hand Arm Vibration Regulations or Environmental Permitting Regulations.
Undertake and/or assist with the monitoring, analysis and reporting of SHE performance.
Support the embedding of Health, Safety & Environmental values and procedures where good communication skills are essential.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will work towards a Level 3 Safety, Health & Environment Technician standard.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship programme you will be able to join the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at Technical IOSH level.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
At the end of your programme, if you have successfully completed your apprenticeship and achieved the performance targets we have set for you, you are guaranteed a permanent role with us.
