Oversee the day-to-day progress of the whole advertising process
An advertising and media executive apprenticeship oversees the day-to-day progress of the whole advertising process, from receiving the brief from the marketing team, including objectives, budget and timescales, through to the measurement of how effective the advert has been. You’ll help campaigns move forward, coping with inevitable setbacks and changes in direction. You’ll likely specialise in one of two parts of the advertising process: producing the advert (creative); or distributing the advert (media). If you focus on the creative side, you’ll be responsible for working with creative producers such as copywriters to assist them with their decision-making. This might include providing a briefing regarding competitive brands to assist their decisions. You’ll monitor the progress of the creative producers and evaluate their output. If you focus on media, you’ll interact with and get the best out of automated platforms, using your awareness of what programmatic/automatic buying can and cannot do.
