Complete treatments as a key part of a beauty business

Beauty therapy is one of the largest, trusted, professional and continually expanding industries within hair and beauty. The work environment can be varied in size, style and ambiance, from a cruise ship, through to a small, bespoke salon or luxury high-end beauty salons and spas. During the beauty therapist apprenticeship, you’ll work independently or as part of a team supported by a manager when completing treatments as a key part of a beauty business. You’ll demonstrate a willingness to learn, have an enquiring and curious mind and be enthusiastic to develop within your chosen career. In addition, you’ll exhibit a good work ethic, with the drive and commitment to learn and maintain continual professional development. You’ll deliver essential one-to-one beauty therapy treatments while maintaining the organisation’s image, financial viability and reputation. You’ll act with professionalism, without supervision and observe safe working practices to a high level of precision.


Duration: 15 months

Relevant school subjects: Art

Entry requirements for the beauty therapist apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely GCSEs or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience

Achievement upon completion: Level 2 (Intermediate)—equivalent to GCSEs

Potential salary upon completion: £18,000 per annum
