Manage the day-to-day operations in the supply chain
Working in a fast-paced environment and employed within a range of organisations such as hauliers, storage and warehouse operators, couriers, retailers and utilities, as a transport and warehouse operations supervisor you’ll ensure activity, personnel and vehicles meet customer expectations and any legal requirements. You’ll specialise in one of two areas; the transport supervisor ensures the safety and compliancy of all drivers and equipment, while the warehouse supervisor focuses on the incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers. During the transport and warehouse operations supervisor apprenticeship, you’ll interact with a range of stakeholders across a number of organisations and professions and may need to lead a team in order to meet your objectives. Other job titles can include depot supervisor, traffic planners and senior warehouse operative.
Duration: 12 months
Entry requirements for the transport and warehouse operations supervisor apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely GCSEs or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience.
Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels
Potential salary upon completion: £25,000 per annum
