Asbestos analyst/surveyor

Identify, analyse and monitor asbestos materials
Asbestos is a hazardous material that is present within many buildings and past exposure currently results in thousands of deaths every year. Analysts and surveyors identify, analyse and monitor materials by assisting employers and property owners in understanding the risks it presents and advising on how to control these risks. You’ll inspect buildings, premises and machinery, and provide information to organisations to allow them to manage the risks. The widespread nature of asbestos means you’ll visit a range of locations. This role will also involve monitoring and managing removal. To ensure no conflict of interest, your role will not involve removal work, which must be carried out by an independent organisation. You’ll assess the presence of any material and identify whether removal needs to take place.
