This year’s theme for National Apprenticeship Week is ‘Look Beyond’, which aims to encourage everyone to ‘look beyond’ the outdated stereotypes surrounding apprenticeships and to celebrate the diversity of opportunity and value that they bring to the country today.
CILEx & CLS have been joining the conversation all week by attending a number of events, hosting live Twitter and Facebook Q&A sessions with an apprentice from National Accident Helpline and sharing case studies from some of the successful CILEx Law School apprentices that are encouraging individuals to take the CILEx route into law. To read their stories, please visit the CILEx careers site here.
On 7 February, CILEx will also be delivering an event called Look Beyond, jointly hosted by UKVI (Home Office) and our official event partner, Amazing Apprenticeships, and supported by The Lawyer Portal. The event will focus on alternative routes into law with the main objective to inspire young people from surrounding sixth forms by way of an informative, interactive and inclusive session.
An apprenticeship is work experience combined with training. It’s also much more than that: a chance for you to challenge yourself and grow as an individual, exposure to new environments and an opportunity to gain confidence and increase your knowledge. Our apprentices are supported every step of the way and many find that it is the experience of a lifetime. Don’t forget to follow the action on social media with the hashtags #NAW2020 and #LookBeyond.
