Select costumes for performance and be responsible for their care and usage

As a costume performance technician you could find yourself working for a theatre, fashion production or cultural organisations, such as music events or pop concerts. You’ll support the organisation to identify costumes and be responsible for their care and maintenance. You’ll need to demonstrate a clear overview of the project and its wardrobe needs, from costume lists to dressing requirements. You’ll work alongside performers such as actors, singers and models, checking the fit of their costumes, dressing them and managing costume changes, all while undertaking emergency repairs and alteration.
