Develop innovative solutions to complex technical engineering problems

This engineering degree apprenticeship is designed to arm you with the skills and specialist knowledge that you’ll need to excel as an engineer. You’ll work in a discipline such as software, integrated systems, mechanical, electrical, electronic, electromechanical or fluid power components/systems, and materials, and develop solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies. You may also have technical accountability for complex systems. The engineer apprenticeship will prepare you to lead your field in any one of a number of points in the lifecycle of an engineered product, including research and development, design, system integration, testing, manufacture and production, maintenance, product support, decommissioning, supply chain and procurement, and management. On completion of this apprenticeship, you’ll gain a level 7 postgraduate diploma in engineering.

 

Duration: 30 months

Relevant school subjects: Science and maths

Entry requirements for the engineer apprenticeship: Professionally recognised bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics subject

Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Degree)—equivalent to a master’s degree

Potential salary upon completion: £40,000 per annum
