Develop innovative solutions to complex technical engineering problems

This postgraduate engineer apprenticeship will prepare you for roles in disciplines like software, integrated systems, mechanical, electrical, electronic, electromechanical or fluid power components/systems, and materials. You’ll learn to solve technical problems and manage complex projects and systems, all while taking business needs into account. If you’re innovative and think you’d enjoy an engineering career, and don’t mind adhering to safe working practices and complying with legislation, the postgraduate engineer apprenticeship could be for you. An engineer at the top of their game will demonstrate soft skills like continuous learning, effective communication, responsibility, and professional commitment, so you’ll need to demonstrate these behaviours too. On completion of this apprenticeship, you’ll gain a level 7 postgraduate diploma in engineering.

 

Duration: 30 months

Relevant school subjects: Science and maths

Entry requirements for the engineer apprenticeship: Professionally recognised bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics subject

Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Degree)—equivalent to a master’s degree

Potential salary upon completion: £40,000 per annum
