“Engaging in training and development of people of all levels”
This apprenticeship is for those with an interest in and aptitude for training people of all levels. As an apprentice, you’ll help people to learn new skills while building on and improving existing skills so that they can do their jobs more effectively. Some trainers are employed within an organisation to run training programmes for new recruits, or to assess the needs of existing staff and work with them to develop their skills. There are also consultancy companies that offer specialised training programmes, such as computer skills or management techniques. As an apprentice, you could train people or help out with administration. Various specialisms are available under this apprenticeship. Whether working one-to-one or with a big group of people, you’ll need confidence, patience and creativity.
Duration: 12 months
Relevant school subjects: English
Entry requirements: Disclosure and Barring Service check, as well as GCSEs in English and maths
Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels
Potential salary upon completion: £21,000 per annum
