Sussex is a diverse county with the complexity of large rural locations alongside Gatwick airport, the vibrant
and diverse city of Brighton, large coastal towns, a premier league football club and multi-layered local authorities, including a unitary. There is a lot going on to provide challenge and enjoyment as Sussex Police provide an outstanding policing service to the residents, employees and visitors to the beautiful county of Sussex.
Our priorities: to protect our communities, catch criminals and deliver an outstanding service, exist to guide our work at every level. This is underpinned by a professional, diverse and inclusive workforce that take pride, and are valued, for the work they do.
Our priorities underline our duty to deliver the public’s priorities as set out by the Police and
Crime Commissioner in the Sussex Police and Crime Plan: to strengthen local policing, tackle crime and prevent harm; the relentless disruption of serious and organised crime; and to support victims and safeguard the vulnerable.
