Who can do an apprenticeship?

Entry requirements vary depending on the programme, but typically applicants must:

Be aged 16 or over

Have a valid passport or birth certificate and National Insurance number

Have lived in the UK and/or EU/EEA and/or British Overseas Territories for at least three years before the start of the apprenticeship

Be eligible to work in the UK

Meet the required Maths and English requirements for their chosen programme

Not be undertaking another apprenticeship or government-funded qualification at the same time

Some programmes may have additional qualification requirements, so it’s always worth checking the specific programme details before applying.
