How long have you worked for AstraZeneca? What do you enjoy about your role?
“I have been at AstraZeneca for one year and nine months. The best part of being a scientist is that there is a lot of variety in the work that I do, normally doing something new every day.”
Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship at AstraZeneca?
“I chose to do an apprenticeship at AstraZeneca because it is a huge global company, so I hoped to have the opportunity to work in different countries. There are also a lot of specialists at AstraZeneca that can help me out on my university course and enhance my learning on the job.”
How would you describe the culture at AstraZeneca?
“AstraZeneca is a supportive environment to work in. There are a lot of celebrations for the work we do, so a lot of free food, which is a bonus!”
What would you say has been the most interesting/rewarding project you have been involved in and why?
“I am working on an external collaboration project involving brand new technology and science. This will give me a skill set which will future proof my scientific skills and learning, giving me a competitive advantage for my career.”
