Babcock: Aleksandra Burzec

Aleksandra Burzec demonstrates how an apprenticeship with Babcock can transform your career

Three years on from the start of her apprenticeship journey, Aleksandra shows how apprenticeship training can reflect your career path, supporting her move into a customer service role and more recently the health and social care sector.

Aleksandra joined a Babcock apprenticeship back in 2015, as a customer service apprentice for Home Group. From day one, Aleksandra excelled on her apprenticeship, relishing the customer service tasks and activities set, and growing in confidence and skill level every day.

Having completed her apprenticeship in record time, it was not long before she knew that she wanted to build a long term career with the Home Group. In 2018, she moved to the health and social care side of the business, enrolling on a level 3 health and social care apprenticeship to support her in transferring to Home Group’s transforming rehabilitation service. Aleksandra is now in a permanent position as a team leader at Home Group in Norfolk, using her skills and expertise to support others.

In her current role, Aleksandra supports the coordination of Home Group’s 4women outreach support programme, developing her health and social care skills across a range of important subject areas. Demonstrating how an apprenticeship can change your life, Aleksandra was awarded the Highly Commended Rising Star of the Year Award at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2018.
