You could seek work in the teaching profession or within the community, or use your physical strength and abilities to tackle more vigorous work, such as a firefighter or within the armed forces, such as the British Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force.

Here is a selection of apprenticeships on offer that all have a focus on the subject of PE.
Able seafarer: Work as part of the navigation department on ships and other vessels. The duration is 18 months and you’ll achieve a level 2 apprenticeship upon completion.
Community activator coach: You’ll lead and coach fun, inclusive and engaging activities within the local community. The duration is 18 months and you’ll achieve a level 2 apprenticeship upon completion.
Community sport and health officer: You’ll engage people in sport and physical activity across local communities. The duration is 16 months and you’ll achieve a level 3 apprenticeship upon completion.
Countryside worker: As a custodian of rural outdoor scenery, you’ll carry out specific environmental and conservation tasks. The duration is 12 months and you’ll achieve a level 2 apprenticeship upon completion.
Golf greenkeeper: It will be your job to maintain a good playing surface and ensure the course offers an enjoyable experience for golfers. The duration is 24 months and you’ll achieve a level 2 or level 3 apprenticeship upon completion.
HM Forces serviceperson: You’ll carry out a range of roles, from general warfare to humanitarian tasks, in the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or Royal Marines. The duration is 12 months and you’ll achieve a level 2 apprenticeship upon completion.
Leisure duty manager: You’ll be in charge of the effective day-to-day operations of a leisure facility. The duration is 18 months and you’ll achieve a level 3 apprenticeship.
Operational firefighter: You’ll respond to emergency situations where problem solving and initiative are vital to resolving incidents quickly and calmly. The duration is 24 months and you’ll achieve a level 3 apprenticeship upon completion.
Outdoor activity instructor: You’ll supervise and guide children and adults in outdoor activities and pastimes. The duration is 12 months and you’ll achieve a level 3 apprenticeship upon completion.
Personal trainer: In this role you’ll coach and help motivate clients towards their health and fitness goals. The duration is 15 months and you’ll achieve a level 3 apprenticeship upon completion.
Sporting excellence professional: Applicable across football, cricket and rugby, you’ll develop into a sporting professional through training and competitions. The duration is 18 months and you’ll achieve a level 3 apprenticeship upon completion.
