Cabin crew apprenticeship

Provide excellent customer service to air passengers and ensure their comfort and safety.

During a cabin crew apprenticeship, you will be in charge of the safety of customers at all times while onboard an aircraft. You’ll also provide excellent service to customers throughout the flight. You’ll be trained to deal with security and emergency situations that may arise and to administer first aid to customers. You may work for commercial organisations, with large volumes of customers, or with small groups of customers on smaller aircraft. To achieve this, you’ll have to adapt to the needs of a range of individuals and customers, and understand how to accommodate them. This may include supporting nervous customers, individuals with young children, and those with special dietary or medical requirements. You may undertake this role as part of the armed forces.

Duration: 12 to 18 months

Relevant school subjects: Geography, Languages

Entry requirements: Two GCSEs in English and maths

Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels

Potential salary upon completion: £25,000 per annum
