Children, young people and families practitioner apprenticeship

Work to achieve positive and sustainable change in the lives of the people in their care

You’ll work with children, young people and families, including carers, to achieve positive and sustainable change in their lives. This will require a passion to care for and about children, young people and families. Through the children, young people and families practitioner apprenticeship, you’ll develop skills in recognising and assessing the complex needs that children, young people and families often present, and agreeing with those concerned about any specific interventions or referrals. You’ll develop a respectfully curious approach that challenges and supports children, young people and families to achieve their potential and stay safe. Each piece of work with a child or family will be different and you’ll exercise judgement on a range of evidence-based approaches to inform your practice.
