Compliance and risk officer apprenticeship

Give basic advice to financial services organisations on the rules they must follow

All financial services organisations need a dedicated compliance and risk officer who is an expert in the relevant requirements, which range from data security to protection from financial crime or operational risk. As a compliance or risk officer, you’ll learn to provide proactive support and guidance, ensuring that all rules and requirements are followed, while achieving the best outcomes for clients. This apprenticeship can be undertaken across business areas or within a particular area, such as private banking. During the compliance and risk officer apprenticeship you’ll develop sound ethical standards, together with good communication and influencing skills. You’ll provide straightforward support and advice to the business on their specific area of expertise, such as financial crime, training and competence, or fraud; work with the business on specific problems that emerge; analyse data, maintain records and produce reports; and work on reviews/audits to check that policies are being correctly applied.
