Manage all of the financial and legal aspects of construction projects
A construction quantity surveyor manages all of the financial and legal aspects of construction projects. As an apprentice, you’ll develop into a surveyor capable of leading on the complex costing and expenditure associated with construction, starting with studying the whole lifespan of a potential project and understanding what the client expects. During the construction quantity surveyor apprenticeship you’ll manage contractors, ensure disputes are handled and settled amicably, oversee the commercial success of projects, and keep tight control of all expenditure and income. You’ll need to become a savvy and reliable financial accountant, familiar with all facets of construction, and a leader and manager who is confident and able to settle disputes. On completion, you’ll achieve a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying.

Entry requirements for the construction quantity surveyor apprenticeship: Completion of the level 4 construction quantity surveying technician apprenticeship
Achievement upon completion: Level 6 (Degree)—equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
Potential salary upon completion: £32,000 per annum
