Manage the process of repairs to digital devices and replace device parts from end to end.
As a digital device repair technician apprentice, you could work across various sectors including digital, retail, and public services. During the digital device repair apprenticeship, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire process of fixing customer’s devices, from start to finish. This means you’ll handle things like receiving faulty devices, figuring out what’s wrong with them, and then fixing those issues. You’ll also keep track of the parts you use and communicate with customers, colleagues, and other companies involved. Sustainability will be important too, so you’ll research ways to make the repair process more eco-friendly. You’ll mainly work with devices like phones, tablets, laptops, and drones, in places like stores, repair shops, or out in the field. You’ll have to manage tasks independently, but you’ll also report to supervisors or managers and get help when needed.
