Carry out a range of roles, from general warfare to humanitarian tasks, in the Army, Royal Navy, RAF or Royal Marines
The primary role of a HM Forces serviceperson is to work as a team member within HM Armed Forces, which includes the Army, Navy, RAF and Royal Marines. The effectiveness of that team depends on each individual’s selflessness, placing the communal right over the individual right. As a serviceperson, you’ll undertake a range of roles, from general warfare to humanitarian tasks, necessitating a high level of commitment, enthusiasm and common sense. Each year, large numbers of new recruits enter the HM Forces to undertake programmes of training and skills development necessary to enable them to work in a variety of highly physically and mentally demanding situations and environments, often for prolonged periods. During the HM Forces serviceperson apprenticeship you’ll need a high degree of physical and mental robustness, as well as dedication and self discipline, as you understand and adapt to the changing needs of the organisation.
