Paraplanner
Support financial advisers by researching and preparing tailored client recommendations
As a paraplanner apprentice, you’ll learn how to provide technical support to financial advisers by carrying out research, analysing financial products, and preparing suitability reports for clients. You’ll help ensure the advice given is accurate, compliant, and in the client’s best interest.
During your apprenticeship, you’ll gain knowledge of pensions, investments, insurance, and other financial planning tools. You’ll also learn to interpret client data, assess risks, and use financial software and modelling systems.
You’ll need attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly. The role suits someone who enjoys research, problem-solving, and working as part of a team.
With experience, you could progress to become a financial planner or adviser yourself, or specialise in technical roles within wealth management firms.
