Coach clients towards their health and fitness goals
Get ready to play an important role in improving the health of the nation, creating opportunities that get more people, more active, more often. As a personal trainer apprentice, your main role is to guide clients, both individually and in small groups, toward their health and fitness objectives. You’ll achieve this by creating tailored exercise programs, providing nutritional advice, and offering lifestyle management support. Your goal is to inspire positive changes in behaviour and enhance your clients’ overall well-being through specialised guidance within your scope of practice. During the personal trainer apprenticeship, you’ll gain an understanding of business, finance, sales and marketing in order to build and retain a stable client base. Personal trainers typically work in fitness or leisure centres, but after qualification, you may choose to be self-employed. Expect to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
