Produce high quality content in the film and television sector
Working for companies that edit and produce film and television content prior to release across multiple platforms. This is a growing sector, due to the increasing volume of content being produced. Your main duties during the post-production engineer apprenticeship will include ensuring clients are able to use technology to achieve the best production standards, engaging with colleagues and clients and identify their needs, and devising solutions to production outcomes. In this senior role within a production organisation, you’ll need to provide technical support, keep up to date with new technologies, and give direction and guidance to junior members. Other job titles could include creative technologist, studio technologies team and edit support technician.
Duration: 24 months
Relevant school subjects: English, ICT
Entry requirements for the post-production engineer apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely A-levels or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience
Achievement upon completion: Level 5 (Advanced)—equivalent to a foundation degree
Potential salary upon completion: £30,000 per annum
