Trade retailer Screwfix has been named among the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers for 2023.
Screwfix was ranked 69th in the list compiled every year by the Department for Education to celebrate England’s outstanding apprenticeship employers.
It’s the first time Screwfix has applied to be included in the rankings. It was recognised for its commitment to creating new apprenticeships, the diversity of its apprentices, and the number of apprentices who successfully achieve their apprenticeships.
More than 500 Screwfix employees have completed an apprenticeship with the business, across areas such as retail management, customer service, HR management, finance, and data. The retailer offers programmes at all levels.
Commenting on the achievement, John Mewett, chief executive officer at Screwfix, said: “To be in the Department for Education’s Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers for 2023 is massive recognition for the Screwfix leadership and talent team and I am incredibly proud of all our colleagues who have completed or are progressing in their programme.”
