“Supporting solicitors and barristers by carrying out legal work”
The general legal workforce is varied and ranges from those working to support solicitors and other regulated professionals, to those working in-house in central government and at local authorities, or in corporate organisations. This advanced apprenticeship will train you in providing paralegal services, which generally entails carrying out legal work under the direct supervision of a qualified practitioner. This apprenticeship offers several pathways, including civil litigation, employment, family, property and private client. There is also a more general pathway if you want to work within different legal contexts. You’ll gain a slightly broader knowledge of the legal environment compared with the other pathways within this apprenticeship, which are slightly more specialised.
