“Cutting, colouring and styling hair at salons and other ideal locations”
Hairdressing is a vibrant, fast-paced industry and provides a range of services to make clients look and feel better. As a junior stylist on the hairdressing apprenticeship, you’ll learn to carry out basic cutting, styling, colouring, drying and finishing. The advanced apprenticeship will allow you to become a stylist or hairdresser. At this point, you’ll take your learning a step further by developing your cutting and colouring skills, so you can creatively cut and colour hair, as well as carry out colour correction and creatively style and dress hair, creating a variety of permed looks and providing hair extension services. You’ll be able to undertake the hairdressing apprenticeship or progress onto roles in a variety of locations, including hairdressing salons, spas, hospitals, care homes, prisons, department stores, hotels, airlines and holiday resorts. There is also the opportunity to progress into higher education once you’ve completed the hairdressing apprenticeship.
