“The logistics operations apprenticeship covers managing the movement of goods from a supplier, ensuring that they arrive on time”
Logistics operations move a product from the supplier to the customer—this path is called the supply chain, and it needs to keep moving in order for goods to arrive at the right place, at the right time. As an intermediate apprentice, you’ll work in all areas of a business in order to gain a complete understanding of how everything works, so you’ll be able to decide which advanced apprenticeship would suit you best when the time comes. As an advanced apprentice, you’ll take on a management role for a logistics company. Your duties may include transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods and materials. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of things and making sure that quality, cost and efficiency of the supply chain meet the standards required.
