London Stansted Airport has three engineering apprenticeships available

The airport is ready for some new engineer apprentices.

Stansted Airport, the largest single-site employer in the East of England, is on the lookout for new talent. The airport is hiring for three engineering apprenticeship roles.

An Electrical Installation Apprenticeship is available at the airport. The 36-month-long electrical installation apprenticeship will be delivered with Harlow College.

A brief description of the apprentices’ duties includes installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults, and ensuring all electrical work is completed in compliance with safety regulations.

An Engineering Technician Apprentice (Mechatronics Maintenance) is available at the airport. The 48-month-long apprenticeship will be with Harlow College.

A brief description of duties includes inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing faults in automated systems and equipment, maintaining and servicing advanced automated systems and equipment and following safety procedures and regulations when working on systems in the workshop.

Finally, an Engineering Technician (Terminal) apprenticeship is available. The 48-month-long apprenticeship will be with Harlow College.

Some duties include undertaking planned or reactive maintenance work, using prevailing MAG IT and work management systems (for example MAXIMO), and ensuring all engineering and operating records are updated to meet business, regulatory & manufacturer requirements.

All three apprenticeships begin with a competitive apprentice salary of £18,000 and benefits include Subsidised public transport to and from work (up to 80%), 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, 6% company contribution pension and a wide range of company discounts.
