“As a recruitment apprentice, you will source and place candidates for employers”
Effective recruitment ensures that organisations have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, and is crucial to the performance of every company. The role of a recruiter is very sales-orientated, but also involves elements of human resources. As an intermediate apprentice, you may find yourself involved in identifying client requirements, pre-selecting and assessing candidates, matching and presenting candidates to employers, briefing and supporting candidates, as well as administering the recruitment process. Advanced apprentices may be involved in headhunting and identifying suitable candidates, shortlisting candidates, increasing candidate base and generating leads and market information. Higher apprentices will work in a consultancy capacity with their clients, developing a recruitment strategy and all it entails.
