“Undertaking sports and physical activities at schools and other educational settings”
The supporting teaching and learning in physical education and school sport apprenticeship is for anyone who wants to work with children, coordinating and delivering school sport, and motivating children to perform to the very best of their abilities. On this apprenticeship, you’ll gain the skills needed to plan, deliver, assess and evaluate out-of-school activities, lunchtime and playtime activities, and curriculum PE/physical activity, in partnership with school sports leaders. You will also assist with curriculum support and help manage the early years setting. As well as learning how to deliver physical activity sessions in a range of environments, you’ll learn how to safeguard the well-being of children and young people in their environment. You’ll also gain important skills in communicating and forming professional relationships with children, young people and adults, and in how to organise sports events and competitions.

Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels
Potential salary upon completion: £22,000 per annum
