Adam is completing the digital and technology solutions degree apprenticeship at Aston University
Adam explained: “I had initially planned to go to a Russell Group University for a master’s with a placement year in either civil engineering or computer science. However, I found out about degree apprenticeships during my penultimate year of school through an event that was held to inform students in my area about this potential route.”
“Four of us started at Anglian Water to complete the degree apprenticeship, which is made up of six-month long work placements covering different roles across the teams that make up Anglian Water’s information services department. By the end of the apprenticeship, we all will have had placements in most of the 14 different teams in the department, which will give us the experience to discuss which team we prefer and what role will be most beneficial for us individually.”
“My degree apprenticeship has been everything I expected and more. Everyone has been a pleasure to work alongside and the company’s morals and values are easily seen across the workplace. One of the key things I looked for when deciding on my apprenticeship was to find a company that I saw myself staying with for a long period of time, and I can definitely say with how much I already love working here that I still see this.”
