Jessica Wright, who is nearing the end of her advanced hairdressing apprenticeship, completed her level 2 with an amazing distinction at Kleek Apprenticeships
Level 3 hairdressing apprentice Jessica Wright made the decision early in her life to become a hair stylist, having studied hairdressing for her GCSEs and moving straight into a hairdressing apprenticeship at Kleek Apprenticeships.
Jessica chose hairdressing as a career because of her love of making other people feel better about themselves and being a creative person who loves a challenge the industry just seemed to make sense. She investigated all available routes into a hairdressing career and commented: “After doing lots of research, Kleek Apprenticeships was the best training programme, so I applied for an apprenticeship with Saks Hairdressing in Bishop Auckland.”
Jessica started out with her level 2 apprenticeship attending the Saks Academy in Darlington for her training, and gained a distinction with flying colours. She then moved onto her level 3 advanced apprenticeship and was back in the salon, where she started developing her client list and working more on the salon floor.
The apprenticeship programme comes highly recommended by Jess as, in her own words, she “found the course very interesting, Level 2 has given me a lot more confidence and now I’m on the salon floor with my own clients finishing off my level 3. I would recommend the course to anyone that is interested in hairdressing as it has helped me so much in growing my confidence and knowledge.”
The apprenticeship has helped and is still helping Jessica to realise her ambitions of becoming a well-known stylist with an amazing clientele, just like her peers in the salon where the team is very supportive and is constantly helping her to learn new techniques and skills. Jessica said that “when I watch how hard they work and see the results of that work I am mesmerised and aspire to be like them very soon.”
Jessica was very pleased that the research she completed after leaving school led her to realising her dreams of becoming the amazing stylist she is now.
