How long have you worked for AstraZeneca? What do you enjoy about your role?
“I love the fast-pace of my role and the responsibility I’m given. Every day is different. I love working globally with a variety of different teams and external providers and working on candidate experience-based projects as I have a passion for ensuring we are offering the best service to external candidates.”
Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship at AstraZeneca?
“Although I am not a science professional, I wanted to work for a company that creates life-changing medicines for patients. The two-year programme appealed to me as it offered many different rotations giving me exposure to the whole of HR, while studying for my level 5 CIPD.”
How would you describe the culture at AstraZeneca?
“The culture as fast-paced, collaborative and focused. There are opportunities for self-development and to work with talented individuals with different experience and backgrounds. It’s great to learn from your peers who are all friendly and willing to help.”
What would you say has been the most interesting/rewarding project you have been involved in and why?
“Our global onboarding project focused on simplifying and making it consistent globally. Working with 77 countries has been very interesting learning about the different cultures. I have gained many skills including; managing stakeholders; process mapping and better understanding our HR system. I enjoyed the amount of responsibility that I was trusted with in such an important project.”
