Ross Farquhar is a trailblazer apprentice for Barclays
Ross began his working career in Costa Coffee while studying at college. He progressed quickly and soon became a key holder at his local store. He moved branch when he started university and was entered into a company competition called Barista of Year, which he won in his area but not nationally. While studying at uni and working at Costa, Ross also found time to start a nightlife business in Suffolk, working to improve the nightlife for locals and students.
He made a success of his business, establishing great relationships with the local police and nightclub owners. However, he left the nightclub industry to start a career at Barclays. Ross has been at Barclays for three years now, starting as a cashier to learn the ins and outs of a bank, and has now progressed to manager, obtaining a gold award and colleague of the month award.
Ross always aimed to work in London by the age of 24, and now, aged 23, he begins the apprenticeship based in London and perfectly suited to his personality and skills.
