Lloyds Banking Group‘s 2019 Modern Apprentice of the Year, Katie-Louise Cammock, 21, wanted to start earning without giving up her education. Now, she’s balancing daily conversations with our customers alongside earning a financial services qualification
Getting the right mix
“As a keen baker and amateur make-up artist, I’m an outgoing and creative person so I love speaking with customers on a day-to-day basis and resolving their problems. Whether it’s a quick balance enquiry or something bigger, an apprenticeship is giving me real work experience while I study to progress my career.”
Giving others a flavour of success
“I started as a naïve 18-year-old but now I face challenges head-on. I’m an apprentice ambassador promoting alternative career paths and I’m part of our Money Matters scheme teaching pupils about their finances. My apprenticeship at Lloyds Banking Group has really shaped who I am.”
An achievement to be proud of
“I was named Modern Apprentice of the Year for Lloyds Banking Group in 2019 and I’ve since been shortlisted for the National Apprenticeship Awards, where I’ll be representing the bank. My colleagues have said it’s a great reward for my hard work and dedication to my role.”
