Manage defined episodes of clinical care independently, providing care and treatment
An advanced clinical practitioner manages defined episodes of clinical care independently, from beginning to end, providing care and treatment from the time an individual first presents through to the end of the episode, which may include admission, referral, discharge or care at home. During the advanced clinical practitioner apprenticeship, you’ll work to become an expert in your field of practice. You’ll carry out the full range of duties in relation to individuals’ physical and mental healthcare and in acute, primary, urgent and emergency settings, including hospitals, general practice, individuals’ homes, schools and prisons, and in the public, independent, private and charity sectors. You’ll combine your expert clinical skills with research, education and clinical leadership within your area of practice. On completion, you’ll achieve a master’s degree in advanced clinical practice.

Entry requirements for the advanced clinical practitioner apprenticeship: Current registration with one of the statutory regulators of health and care professions
Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Degree)—equivalent to a master’s degree
Potential salary upon completion: £45,000 per annum
