Investigate and analyse digital evidence to support criminal, civil or corporate cases
As an advanced digital forensic professional apprentice, you’ll learn how to recover, examine, and interpret data from digital devices such as computers, mobile phones, and cloud systems. Your work will support law enforcement, legal teams, or private organisations in investigating cybercrime, fraud, or data breaches.
During your apprenticeship, you’ll develop technical skills in data recovery, forensic imaging, malware analysis, and reporting. You’ll use specialist software and follow strict procedures to ensure evidence is collected and handled securely, ethically, and in line with legal standards.
You’ll need to be analytical, precise, and able to explain complex findings clearly. Working both independently and as part of a wider investigation team, you’ll contribute to uncovering critical digital evidence that could be used in court.
With experience, you could move into senior roles in cyber forensics, digital intelligence, or incident response, in both public and private sectors.
