Service, repair and manufacture components for a range of clocks
A skilled trade, you will learn to service, repair and manufacture components for a range of clocks, as well as being able to manufacture a complete clock. The work is skilled and precise in nature and requires the use of hand and machine tools as well as an understanding of horological theory and history. In your daily work, you’ll interact with members of the public, suppliers and team members. You’ll be responsible for basic maintenance of tools and understanding of health and safety. During the clockmaker apprenticeship you’ll learn how to service and recognise faults, with an awareness of restoration, conservation practices and ethical practice.
Duration: 24 months

Entry requirements for the clockmaker apprenticeship: Depend on employer
Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels
Potential salary upon completion: £27,000 per annum
