Content creators can be found in any business where they need to create content to engage with their audience. As a content creator apprentice, you’ll develop skills which are useful in all kinds of business: from micro business to multinational corporations. You could use your skills for charities, digital agencies, broadcasters, and more. During this apprenticeship, you’ll learn how to develop and create written and audio-visual content for different platforms and media. Think social media, broadcast, and in print. You’ll get hands-on with researching, preparing, and developing content to brief. As a content creator apprentice, you’ll be responsible for making sure that content aligns with the brand strategy and the needs of the customer too. If you get it right, your work could be in media, advertising, and marketing campaigns. Potential employers will be looking for content creator apprentices with an eye for popular trends, a creative side, and good digital skills.
Duration: 15 months
Relevant school subjects: Art, Drama, English, DT, ICT
Entry requirements for the content creator apprenticeship: Depends on employer, but likely GCSEs or equivalent qualifications and experience
Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced) – equivalent to A-levels
Potential salary upon completion: £26,000
