Install and service a range of domestic and commercial equipment
During the electronic product service and installation engineer apprenticeship you’ll learn to install and service a range of domestic and commercial equipment. Furthermore, the ‘smart home’ is providing wireless control of these products and linking their requirements. To meet the needs of these ‘smart’ products, this apprenticeship will develop your ICT literacy, as well as your understanding of all aspects of connectivity. You’ll also develop a capability in the use of mobile and computer apps. Technology is developing at a rapid rate and the range of products requiring engineering skills will expand, so you’ll constantly maintain and update your knowledge and skills during the course of this apprenticeship and beyond. As most of the work is carried out in the customer’s home or business, you’ll need to be polite, presentable and have appropriate customer-facing skills.
Duration: 36 months

Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels
