Enhanced clinical practitioner apprenticeship

Provide a high standard of health care using good judgement, skills and knowledge

Already registered with a statutory healthcare regulator, you’ll be working at a high level of practice with specific knowledge and skills in your field of expertise. You’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team in a range of settings, from hospitals, community clinics and individual’s homes. During the enhanced clinical practitioner apprenticeship you’ll provide a high standard of complex, enhanced care for patients, using high levels of clinical judgement, skills and knowledge. You’ll consult with patients, their family, carers and other professionals to undertake assessments and devise and evaluate complex care plans. You’ll teach and advise patients how to manage their condition and also support the multi-disciplinary team. You may participate in clinical audits and research projects, implementing changes as required, including updating practice guidelines and procedures.

 

Duration: 18 months

Relevant school subjects: Science

Entry requirements for the enhanced clinical practitioner apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely A-levels or equivalent qualifications or experience

Achievement upon completion: Level 6 (Higher)—equivalent to a bachelor’s degree

Potential salary upon completion: £43,000
