Fall protection technician apprenticeship

Install safety critical products designed to keep others safe from injury

A fall protection technician can work in multiple environments and for a range of different sectors. It is a highly technical role as you’ll be undertaking safety critical work installing products designed to keep others safe from injury due to fall hazards. As you’ll be responsible for installing height safety equipment designed to provide lifesaving protection to others, you’ll gain technical knowledge of the engineering principles behind the products and be able to share your expertise to others as well as working independently with the equipment on building structures. During the fall protection technician apprenticeship you’ll interact with construction site managers, building managers and clients.

 

Duration: 12 months

Relevant school subjects: DT

Entry requirements for the fall protection technician apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely GCSEs or equivalent qualifications or experience

Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels

Potential salary upon completion: £25,000
