The financial services industry encompasses a broad range of businesses that manage, or consult around managing money, including retail and corporate banking, investment management, investment consulting, investment banking, mortgages, and life and pensions. The financial services professional apprenticeship will teach you everything you’ll need to know to become a highly competent professional for the industry. Core modules will give you the knowledge, skills and experience required of all individuals entering or progressing to this level in financial services, while a set of specialist options will then prepare you for the specific business area. These include retail banking, corporate banking, investment banking, investment management, operations, and workplace pensions. Whichever you choose, as a financial services professional you’ll be able to apply for the appropriate level of professional membership on completion.

Entry requirements for the financial services professional apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely A-levels or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience, particularly where strong numeracy skills are shown
Achievement upon completion: Level 6 (Higher)—equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
Potential salary upon completion: £30,000 per annum
