Lead the asset management function within an organisation.

As an infrastructure asset management professional apprentice, you will take a leadership role within an organisation. You’ll work in industries that manage substantial physical assets, like energy and utilities, manufacturing, transport, and infrastructure. You might work in small firms or large corporations, including asset owners, service providers, and consultancy firms. During the infrastructure asset management professional apprenticeship, you’ll take charge of an organisation’s asset management strategy to ensure they’re getting the best value possible from physical assets such as buildings, machinery, and infrastructure. You will develop and implement asset management policies, strategies, and plans, balancing organisational objectives with risk management and resource allocation. You’ll collaborate with senior executives, investment groups, and regulatory bodies, to align your work with broader business goals. You’ll also be responsible for compliance with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. Typical job titles in this field include asset manager, director of asset management, and head of asset planning.

Entry requirements for the infrastructure asset management professional apprenticeship: Varies by employer, but likely a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or previous experience in asset management. 

Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Higher)—equivalent to a master’s degree 

Potential salary upon completion: £42,000
