Provide independent, objective assurance and consulting activity

Internal audit professionals are recognised as experts in risk management, internal audit, governance and control. Over the course of this apprenticeship, you’ll develop into a highly competent professional internal auditor, capable of making a significant contribution to the success and strategic direction of an organisation through being an independent voice to leadership. You’ll learn to act autonomously, providing challenging and sometimes provocative insights into risks and internal controls. During the internal audit professional apprenticeship you’ll act in an independent and objective position at all times, representing the interests of the organisation’s stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and competency, upholding ethical behaviour and integrity at all times.

Duration: 36 months

Relevant school subjects: Maths

Entry requirements for the internal audit professional apprenticeship: A-levels or equivalent level 3 qualification

Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Higher)—equivalent to a master’s degree

Potential salary upon completion: £33,000 per annum
