Coordinate productions using specialist production management skills
During the media production coordinator apprenticeship, you’ll be working as part of a production team delivering a film, TV or animated series, or in specialist post-production departments. You’ll help coordinate productions using specialist production management skills, knowledge and experience, working in the production office, on set, in a studio or on location. To reflect the varied roles, all apprentices will undertake a core element, before specialising in either; film, TV, commercial, short form radio and audio production, or; post-production, VFX and animation. You’ll develop a clear understanding of the production process and the changing needs and demands of the production team. Other job titles could include booking coordinator or production coordinator.
Duration: 18 months
Relevant school subjects: English, drama, ICT
Entry requirements for the media production coordinator apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely A-levels or equivalent qualifications or experience
Achievement upon completion: Level 4 (Higher)—equivalent to a foundation degree
Potential salary upon completion: £24,000
