Liaise with the director at the earliest stages of production to create visual effects and computer generated content
Working within the visual effects (VFX) industries, you’ll provide computer generated digital content for film, television, advertising, games, corporate and immersive reality industries. From the earliest stages of production you’ll work with the director and the director of photography to interpret the production brief and assess the resources and specialists needed for the effects to be created. In your daily work, you’ll interact with the client, the production team and department leads. As this is a senior role, you may need to provide technical leadership, direction and feedback in order to create the visual effects required. A great communicator, you’ll give ongoing verbal, written and visual critique of the production work, sharing advice and ideas if needed. During the VFX supervisor apprenticeship you’ll be highly creative and able to problem solve, both artistically and technically. This role may include out of hours or irregular working patterns when working on international projects.
Duration: 18 months

Entry requirements for the VFX supervisor apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely A-levels or equivalent qualifications or experience
Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Higher)—equivalent to a master’s degree
Potential salary upon completion: £35,000
