Build, protect and maintain a positive reputation for brands, organisations and individuals
Public relations (PR) and communications is all about building, protecting, and enhancing reputations for brands, organisations and individuals. On a PR and communications assistant apprenticeship, you could work in an agency or in-house for a brand, including businesses, charities, or the government. You’ll communicate their messages to different audiences, like the media, stakeholders, and the public, using various methods. Ultimately, your role is to get your client’s or organisation’s message across and influence opinions and behaviour in the most effective way. Day-to-day, you’ll research your client’s goals, create content, and manage information to support campaigns. You’ll also keep an eye on current events and media trends to inform your work. You’ll spend most of your time at a desk, but you might also attend meetings, events, or training sessions as needed. This apprenticeship will give you the skills to thrive in the fast-paced world of PR and communications.
