Give high-level advice to financial services organisations on the legal rules they must follow
All financial services organisations have to meet a wide range of compliance and risk requirements set out in legislation, such as data security, so many companies have dedicated risk and compliance departments to ensure they meet the relevant requirements. During the senior compliance and risk specialist apprenticeship, you’ll give high-quality input and advice in your specialist area of expertise, chosen from specialist risk, financial crime, compliance, or compliance and risk. You’ll learn to deal with complex problems, implement new legal or regulatory requirements, and work with senior managers. You’ll develop sound ethical standards, together with good communication and influencing skills, as differences of opinion as to the appropriate action to take are common. An in-depth knowledge of frameworks, policies and procedures will be integral to the role, so you’ll undertake one of the four knowledge options along with the core requirements.
